Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : Stencil It

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Stencil It

We are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift Voucher  for the Simon Says Stamp Store  to one randomly selected winner !

Here is my card for the challenge inspiration.

I used Heart Mandala Stencil and Messages for Everyday Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp today.

Here are step by step instructions.

1) Trim a piece of Ivory card stock into A2 (4.25x5.5inch) size, then mask off the 4 edges using washi tapes.
2) Ink blend the panel with a dye ink Insulation Pink.
3) Place Heart Mandala Stencil on the panel, then ink blend the panel using 3-4 dye inks that you have in order of dark brown -light brown - light coral - coral.
( I used Kraft, Safety Orange, Peach Bellini, and Coral Crush from My Favorite Things
4) Apply Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste using a Craft knife, then remove the stencil and cleanse it quickly.
5) After the paste is dried, splatter orange, yellow, and black inks over the panel.
6) Heat emboss a sentiment from Messages for Everyday Stamp Set in white, then foam mounted onto the panel using foam tapes
8) Trim the edges of the panel a little , then adhere it onto A2 sized top folded cardbase made with gray colored Texture Cardstock.

I made another card with the same stenciled panel to use my scraps.

Here, I adhered sentiment from Big Greetings 1, a leaf diecut from Leaf Border Frame Die, flowers from Cherry Blossoms, and leaves from Build A Flower Rose. Card base was made from Neenah Desert Storm

This second panel was actually supposed to be discarded as I oversplattered black inks, but in the next morning when I saw it again, I thought I would hide those black ink spots by covering them with sentiment and images. That's how it came out and I really love the final look :)

To finished off the card I added various sequins from Pretty Pink Posh : Spring Blossoms, Champagne, and Sparkling Celar

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting !
You have until Wed  8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
New creations only, please don't link projects published before the start of the challenge, Only 5 new creations will be eligible in the prize draw.

Simon Says Stamp New May Release - Sending Sunshine

Hi, there!
It's a New Release day at Simon Says Stamp and this time is called Sending Sunshine Collection.

I have two cards to share with you featuring Leafy Frame Stencil from the New Release.
This is such a unique and gorgeous stencil that you can create leafy frame just like its name. I've never seen similar ones before.

To begin, I trimmed Ivory Card Stock to A2 size, then I masked off the 4 four edges of the panel a little using washi tape. I then put Leafy Frame stencil on it and started ink blending. Once blending was done, I splattered water or inks on it, then I gently removed stencil from the panel.

Sentiments were made from Big Thanks Stamp set and Big Thanks Die and then adhered on the panel using foam tapes.

Finally, I put the panel onto Card Base and then I embellished the card with Sparkling Clear Sequins and Ivory Jewels

I love how the masked edges made stencil background look framed, which gave the card clean look.

For the blue card, I used Distress Oxide Inks : Lucky CloverCracked PistachioTwisted CitronBroken ChinaPeacock Feathers. Card base was made from Neenah Texture Cardstock Navy.

For the coral one, I used My Favorite Things Dye Inks ( Kraft, Natural, Peach Bellini, Coral Crush ) for stencil. Then I foam mounted it onto Neenah Desert Storm Card base.

I really love this new stencil and I know you will love it, too!

That's it for today.
Thank you for reading this post.
Hope you will enjoy the New Release, too!

[Simon Says Stamp ] Sea Animals Shaker Card

Hi, there!
Welcome to my blog.
Today, I'm sharing a fun shaker card featuring Under the Sea Animals Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
I ordered this along with other gorgeous new release products from Simon Says Fluttering By Collection as soon as I saw this. How adorable the little creatures are!
The parcel arrived yesterday, and I started inking this set, leaving my other scheduled projects behind, lols!
So here's my card.

At the first time I saw the Pebbles Dies, I thougt it would be perfect for ocean themed shakers.

I started by stamping Under the Sea Animals onto 80lb Neenah White paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then I cut them all using my Scan N Cut. Or you can use Under the Sea Animals Coordinating Dies
Then I colored them with copic markers.

I picked a piece of Ultra Thick Whie Cards Stock to make an A2 sized panel. Then I die cut it using Pebbles Dies. I adhered a piece of Acetate Film on the back of the panel, and then foam tapes around the window. As the Pebbles Dies cut panel had no extra margin for shaker frames, parts of foam tapes were seen through the pebbles holes near the both edges of the window. So I masked them using diecut pieces of pebbles colored with copic markers.

To make a background panel of shaker, I simply did watercoloring on 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper, which had been trimmed to A2 size. I used Daniel Smith Watercolors : Phthalo Blue (GS), Prussian Blue, and Prussian Green.

Next, I assembled shaker by putting in Sequins, Jewels, and Seed Beads : Blue Lagoon, Navy, Spring Meadow, 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins,  Sparkling Clear Jewels, Aquamarine Jewels, Sparkling Clear Seed Beads, Daffodil, and Spring Green.

I adhered sea animals and sentiment onto the front panel then I put it on Navy Card Base. I added Sparkling Clear Jewels and Ivory Jewels to embellish the card.

Copic markers :
Whale-BG78-BG75-BG72-BG10
Crab-YR09-YR07-YR04
Starfish-R85-R83-R81
Turtle -E47-E44-E43-E42

Thanks for reading this post.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Happy Crafting!

Then I watetcolored the panel using various watercolor mediums in my stash including Daniel Smith Watercolors, Distress Markers, and Zigclean Real Brush Markers. Next, I trimmed the panel to A2 size, then I die cut it using Twisted Stitch Borders Die.

I foam mounted it onto gold foild pattern paper from Bliss Paper Pack using foam tape and then I also added a strip of navy pattern paper on the top for visual interest.
Next, I added Mom Script diecut and sentiment from Mom's Clematis Stamp set on the panel using foam adhesive.I finished off my card by adding Sparkling Clear Jewels.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : For The Boys

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

For The Boys

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

Here is my card for the challenge inspiration.

Boys love fun things, don't they?
So I decided to make a fun pop up card.
And this is what you will see when you open the card.

If you are interested in how I made it, please  read on and find your way.

< Front Panel >

I started my card by stamping the images from Plane and Simple Stamp set, on 80lb Neenah White paper and coloring them using copic markers. Then I cut them all with coordinating dies Plane and Simple Lawn Cuts.
Next, I diecut a Village Border die from brown and green card stock, then ink blended the edges a little using distress ink Gathered Twigs.

Then, I trimmed a light blue gingham paper from Lawn Fawn Gingham pattern paper into A2 size. I foam mounted border die cuts first, then I added Plane and Simple Stamp images on the sky. I stamped a sentiment from Simply Celebrate Stamp set  on white card stock then simply cut the piece to make a banner and then I foam mounted it beneath the village outline.

Once I adhered the panel onto A2 card base, I added several enamel dots. I trimmed another panel into A2 size from Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Paper pack  to put it inside the card as a wall.

< Inner Pop Up Floating Floor >

I stamped various images from Plane and Simple Stamp,  Simply Celebrate Stamp set by Lawn Fawn, Birthday Friends Stamp set, Friends Forever Stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh on 80lb Neenah White paper and colored them using copic markers. Then I cut them all with coordinating dies for each set : Plane and Simple Lawn Cuts, Simply Celebrate Lawn Cuts, Birthday Friends Die set, and Friends Forever Die set.
I stamped sentiment and adhered diecut images onto the wall.

For the floor, I trimmed a piece of blue pattern paper into 5x5.5 inch, then I scored straight lines at 3/8, 4 1/4, and 4 5/8 inch along the 5" side.
Next, I placed my die-cut images face down on the floor to mark where to cut some slits into the floor at their bases using a pencil. The images should not lay over the front edge of the floor or they will pop out of the card when you fold it.

After I cut some slits into the floor, I attached the floor to the card base at the back edge of the floor using double sided adhesive, then I inserted  L-shaped strips  I had  made out of heavyweight card stock into the slits and then I adhered the front edge of the floor onto the card base.

Next, I applied some glue on the bottom of L-strips which will support the images to stand up, then I  put down them through the slit to let the bottom part of L-strips adhered to the card base. Once the floor is done, I added die-cut images to the L-strips using glue and I finished off the card by adding some Sparkling Clear Sequins.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting !
You have until Wed  8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
