Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #25 - Color Inspiration

Hello, Friends!
Today I'm sharing a clean and simple card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #25, which celebrates 8th year of Lawn Fawn and first anniversary of Lawnfawnatics.

The challenge theme is Color Inspiration as shown below, with beautiful rainbow colors.

I started with stamping and coloring of balloons using copic markers. I colored them in rainbow colors.

Then I trimmed a background panel into 3.75×5 inch.
I chose a rainbow pattern paper, trimmed it into 4.25×5.5inch, then adhere it onto a cardbase.

I put the white panel on the pattern background using thin foam tapes.
I adhered foam tapes in diagonal direction so that the tapes cannot be seen through the tiny holes of the panel.

Then I foam mounted balloons and sentiments on the panel.
Finally, I glued some jewels then I brushed Wink of Stella on the balloons to give some sparkling effects.

That's it for today.
Thanks for reading this post.
Congrats on your 8th birthday, Lawn Fawn!

[Spellbinders] New Classics March Collection - Part III - More Simple Card Ideas

Hello, there!
It’s Marge here with you today again.
Have you enjoyed previous posts for Spellbinders New Classics March Collection? As the third theme for this week, I'm going to share how to use diecut layering to create dimensions on your card. Here are the examples that I made geographic blossoms using various nested circle-shaped dies. By doing this, you can also build up your favorite color palette on the card.

To begin the first card, I made various sizes of diecuts out of several colors of papers using  Fancy Scallop Edge Circles Etched Dies. I gave them color gradation from yellow to orange and brown by selecting different colors of cardstocks. The smallest brown colored circle in the center was cut using the smallest die from Fancy Edged Circles Etched Dies set. Then I layered the cuts one by one using thin (1 mm thick) double sided foam adhesives to build up a blossom. I also made two- tone leaves using Textured Flowers Etched Dies Timeless Heart Collection by Marisa Job set. Sentiment was heat embossed on dark brown cardstock with white embossing powder and was cut using the coordinating die from Sentiments 1 Stamp & Die Set by Tammy Tutterow set.

I put the blossom, leaves, and sentiment on a white rectangle panel which was cut using Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies, then I adhered it on an A2 sized top folded light yellow cardstock. To maintain clean geometric look, I finished it off with minimal embellishment by adding some enamel dots.
I love the how the frame patterns change alternatively at a closer look. It is so fun and delightful to look at.

For my second card, I made the same blossom with different color palette using Fancy Scallop Edge Circles Etched Dies, Fancy Edged Circles Etched Dies and, Textured Flowers Etched Dies  by Marisa Job set. Background scalloped panel was made from Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies
I chose a sentiment from Encouraging Greetings Stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh, then stamped it on the white panel using Versafine Ink Onyx Black.

For my third card, I used Open Scallop Edge Circles Etched Dies to build up a blossom. Other process was similar with previous card. The smallest pierced blue circle in the center was made from Scored and Pierced Circles Etched Dies.

Before closing up, I’m showing you other examples for diecut layering. In the fourth card, I used   Scored and Pierced Circles Etched Dies and Sentiments 1 by Tammy Tutterow set.

In the fifth card, I stamped Thinking of You by Tammy Tutterow Stamps on a copic friendly white cardstock, colored the images using copic markers, and then cut the panel in scalloped oval shape using Fancy Edged Ovals Etched Dies. I then foam mounted the oval on a pierced rectangle panel made from Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies with twines and enamel dots as embellishment.

In the last card, I die cut different pattern papers to give visual interest on the diecut layers, then I layered them one by one using thin double sided foam adhesives or double sided tapes. Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies were used for this. I added a blue ribbon, gemstone and jewels as embellishment.

Pretty Pink Posh Encouraging GreetingsStamp Set, Pretty Pink Posh Jewels Bundle, Color Enamel Dots from various companies, ScrapBerry’s French Journey 6x6 Paper pad, American Crafts 12x12 Cardstock Pastel, American Crafts 12x12 Cardstock Earth Tone, May Arts Ribbon

Altenew March 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, crafty friends !
Welcome to my blog.
I'm so honored to be a part of blog hop for the March 2018 Release at Altenew.
I hope you've come to my blog from Kymona Tracey, or you can start over the hop from Altenew Card Blog.

Before moving on, you can see the whole release here .

Today, I'm going to feature 3 products which are Mega Succulent, Dearest Friends, and Neighborhood Stamp set.

The Mega Succulent is my favorite one among the New Release.  Look at the big beautiful blossom which is about 5x6 inch size. Although it is a succulent, I thought it could be a blossom too.

To begin, I stamped the image on a watercolor paper using Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform. I colored it using my favorite "Quinacridone Coral" as a main color, splattered white acrylic paint onto the panel, then trimmed it into 4 1/8" and 5 3/8'' inch size.

I chose a sentiment from Precious Moments Stamp set and then heat embossed it on a vellum strip with gold embossing powder. I adhered both side of vellum strip onto the back of panel, and added Thanks diecut from Halftone Circles Stamp and Die Bundle

After, I foam mounted the panel onto an A2 sized top folded card base, then finished off the card by adding Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix

I made a same card using different colors of Daniel Smith Watercolors. Here's a green version using my favorite "Prussian Green" as the main color.

Which one is your favorite ? :)

For my next cards, I chose Dearest Friends Set which is full of lovely floral images and sentiments. I have three cards to share with you featuring this set.

I stamped the largest floral image on a watercolor paper, painted it using Daniel Smith Watercolors, then I trimmed the panel into A2 size.  I stamped sentiments on the top of the panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Then I foam mounted it onto A2 sized top folded Woodgrain Bark Cardbase, finished it off by adding twines and Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

In the second card, I did the same watercoloring, then I added splatters of ink, sentiment was heat embossed in white on a black strip

The third card was made using no-line watercoloring.
I stamped the image using Antique Linen ink, colored it using Daniel Smith Paints, added some dark ink splatters, stamped sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.

I used blue colors palette for the main flowers and I love how it came out. I didn't add pencils details. You can just use smaller brush when you want to give focal shades onto your watercolor.

As a final embellishment, I added Buttercream Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh which is my favorite embellishment these days.

Here are three cards altogether.
The delightful floral images really made me feel spring is just around.

Lastly, I'm showcasing the Neighborhood Stamp Set and Neighborhood Home Die Set. Among various craft themes, "House or Street" is one of my favorite, so I couldn't resist this gorgeous house stamp set.

I first stamped the Neighborhood Stamp Set on a copic friendly paper, then cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine, then I separated several houses from the house block. All the images were colored using copic markers. I also diecut Neighborhood Home Die Set out of copic friendly paper, and colored them using copic markers.

I decided to make a 3D Pop Up Standing Card with Town Scene. For the inside wall, I trimmed a Bristol paper into a little bit smaller than 4.25x5.5 inch size, then blended it using Mountain Mist and Volcano Lake ink and blending tools. I stamped Welcome using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

For the floor, I trimmed a light yellow pattern paper into 5x5.5 inch, then I scored straight lines at 3/8, 4 1/4, and 4 5/8 inch along the 5" side.
I stamped the solid images of street using Pure Graphaite and Industrial Diamond, cut them and adhered onto the floor panel.
I cut small slits into the floor just behind the streets, inserted L-shaped strips  made out of heavyweight cardstock. These strips will support the images to stand up.
Then I adhered the floor and bottom part of L strips onto the cardbase.

I adhered houses, fences and cars to the L strips and to the green wall to make a whole town scene.  I stamped a blocked sentiment on a white paper, then foam mounted it on the floor. As a final embellishment I adhered flat heart-shaped iridescent sequins.

I really loved the dimensions in this card. Do you like them ?

For the outside of the card, I made a clean and simple design using the Neighborhood Stamp Set and Neighborhood Home Die Set. The bold street image was stamped in Espresso ink. I added 6mm and 4mm Raspberry Sequins for embellishment.

Here is a short video showing how the card looks when I open and close it.

That's it for today. Thank you so much for visiting here and reading this post. I hope you enjoyed my cards. Before you move on, don't miss the Giveaway info below. Now, your next stop to hop along is Virginia Lu 's Blog. Have Fun !
