[Ellen Hutson] January Mix It Up Challenge with Concord&9th

Hello, there!
We need to mix Concord&9th and Essentials by Ellen products.
I have several products for each brand, so this looked very exciting.
What shall I choose and mix? It's such a fun question, isn't it?
So here goes my card.

I chose Cozy Lady set from Essentials by Ellen, Layers of Love Dies and You're My Person Stamp set from Concord&9th.

I colored cozy lady with copic markers, and diecut it using coordinating dies.

Then, I matched the image with heart cut background.

I cut a few strips from the heart frame to make a small window, inked edges with a distress ink, then stamped a sentiment inside the frame.

Then I stamped blocked sentiments from "You're My Person" Stamp set, and hand-cut it.

To add cozy feeling, I put some enamel dots.

Thanks for reading this post.
Enjoy your day!

[Simon Says Stamp] Friends Release cards

Hello, Friends !
Hope you are having a good day.
Today, I enjoyed a little time playing with New Release products from Simon Says Stamp, which are called "Friends" release.

I already shared these two cards before, which I made with "PAWS-itivity" Stamp set and Nested Talk Bubble Wafer Dies

Today, I'm sharing a shaker card made with "Rose Flower Frame" Die.

For the background, I ink blended using distress inks : Seedless preserve, Picked raspberry, Worn lipstick, Fossilized amber, and Wild honey.
Then I splattered water onto it.

I diecut vellum paper and Plum Glitter cardstock using Love Wafer Die.
Because Purple is new year's color by Pantone, I chose plum glitter and pale purple cardstock here ;)

Sequins are from Little Things by Lucie's Cards, which I received from my craft friend for present.

I'm adding one more card.

Here I used Mum Flower Frame Die from SSS Friends Release and Everyday Greetings Stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. Background was made using alcohol inks.

Thank you for reading this post.
I hope you enjoyed it.

[Pretty Pink Posh] Celebrating New Release !

Hello, there !
It's finally New Release Day for Pretty Pink Posh.
As you might have already seen from sneak peek postings at PPP blog, lots of pretty, fun, versatile products are released.
Here are some cards I have shared so far on Instagram with quick review on how I made them.

For the first card, I used Love Shaker Die, Cupid Friends Stamp Set, with Coordinating dies, and Love Sentiments Stamp Set, all included in the New Release. Combination of these three sets is just perfect for making Valentine's cards, isn't it ? :)

I colored the images using copic markers, shaker background was colored with distress oxide ink (Fossilized amber), heart frame and card base were cut from a piece of Cotton Candy from Simon Says Cardstock. Soft and colorful dot pattern paper is by MFT stamps.

Shaker was filled with Spring Blooms Sequins Mix (also the new release ) and Daffodil Seed Beads. I just found that when you make shaker cards, mixing cupped sequins and seed beads makes the shakers really look pretty !!

For the second card, I ink blended an A2 panel with distress oxide inks : Peeled paint, Salty ocean, and Broken china. Then I splattered water and black pearl paint.
I did no-line coloring on the Pretty Petunias Stamp Set using an distress ink (Antique linen) and Daniel Smith Watercolor paints (Quinacridone coral, Undersea green). Then I cut them using coordinating dies .

I then adhered the flowers and leaves onto the panel using glue and foam tapes, sentiment was chosen from Birthday Friends Stamp Set. Final touch was adding some  4mm and 6mm Metalic Gold Sequins and Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

For the second card, I stamped petunias using MISTI and masking technique, then watercolored them using distress inks (Brocken China, Cracked Pistachio, Peeled Paint, Mowed Green). Sentiment is from Love Sentiments Stamp Set , red colored label was cut using Stitched Labes 1 Dies.

The New Release also has fun birthday themed stamps and dies.
Here in the 4th card, I used  Birthday Friends Stamp Set and Coordinating dies to make a delightful birthday card.
I inkblended the background panel using distress oxide inks (Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio).
All the images were colored using copic markers. I also used Scallope Borders 2 DiesTwine and Bows DiesSparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins Mix, and 3mm sparkling clear sequins. Stripe pattern paper is from Doodlebug design.

The last two cards are featuring Birthday Scene Stamp set. This set is an inexpensive small stamps set, but it does all to make a card. Using only one stamp set, you can make this whole scene without masking or adding something at all !! This set is definitely my favorite among the new release !

For the 5th card, I stamped the Birthday Scene Stamp set on an A2 sized panel, then colored with copic markers. Then I masked them to color the background using distress oxide inks (Antique linen and Cracked Pistachio). I chose a celebrating sentiment from Everyday Greetings Stamp Set. Then I cut the panel using Scalloped Frame Dies, I cut the frame twice to make it stand out . Then I finished off the card using Northwest Sequins MixSparkling Clear Sequins Mix and twine.

For the last card, I added candles from Birthday Friends Stamp Set on the top of the balloon to give it some interest, otherewise, similar process. I also used Twine and Bows Dies, Stitched Borders 2 Dies Party Time Sequins Mix and  3mm sparkling clear sequins . The plaid pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn, and the red cardbase is School House Red from Simon Says Cardstock.

That's it for today. Thank you so much for your stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Please go over to Pretty Pink Posh Blog and Store to look at the New Release and get lots of inspiration.
We are also celebrating the 4th Birthday with fun events through 10th~ 12th,  so please join us in the Blog Hop and Facebook page as well.

Pretty Pink Posh Design Team Announcement

It's been quite a while since my last post.
Hope all of you had a great time crafting like I did.
Frankly speaking, it's been always a challenge for me to maintain an English Blog cause I'm not a native English speaker at all.
So I had to focus on making cards rather than blogging using foreign language.

Today I have a happy news that I'll be on Pretty Pink Posh design team for another term.
It is my honor to work alonside super talented ladies. I'm very grateful for this precious opportunity.
To celebrate new design team, I made this card.

I used stitched tab dies from pretty pink posh for the first time. I have loved this die for a long time, but couldn't have chance to use it. And now I'm very satisfied with how it came out. Hope you will enjoy too!

There goes a big giveaway at the Pretty Pink Posh blog to celebrate new design team!
Please visit there, write a comment, and grab a chance to win $100 Certificate !

Thanks for stopping by !

Once you have a card design in your mind, the making process is very simple.

I used Angel Friends Stamp Set with Angel Friends dies setHoliday Pals Stamp Set with matching dies, Happy Snowman Stamp set with matching die. Snowman's hat is from Raindeer Friends Stamp Set & matching dies set

3.  Make a house from Stitched Duo 3 dies and Stitched Borders 1 die, then make a shaker element.
Background of shaker was made using distress inks, Squeezed Lemonade, and Scattered Straw.
Sequins are Metallic Gold ConfettiMetallic Silver Confetti, and Marshmallow Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

4. Make a snowy hill using Drifting Stitches Borders die from Simon Says Stamp Exclusive.

5. Layer each elment one by one using foam tapes, then adhere the panel onto a card base.

Thank you for reading this post.
All the supplies I used are linked in the text.
I hope you enjoyed it.

MFT card design superstar, Clean and Simple genius

Hello, there!
Today I'm sharing a care for entry into the My Favorite Things card design superstar challenge clean and simple genius category .
Please click the image below to link to the challenge site.

I wanted to make a winter scene in a drop as well as water drop effects on my card.
First I die cut a big water drop, stamped images using masking on it, then colored with copic markers. To give it a glassy look, I gave shades using copic markers and then brushed a little amount of white gesso on it.

Then I prepared an A2 sized card base, then stamped water drop images from Abstract Art set using dye inks from MFT.
The large waterdrop diecut piece was mounted using fun foam.
I also added a smaller waterdrop die cut above the larger one to express drops falling down.

As a final touch, I added a silver metalic twin ribbon.
To make it Clean and Simple, I let most of the spaces empty white, and made a one layer card.

Supplies I used are all from My Favorite Things
Stamps : Abstract Art, Winter Wonderland
(I couldn't find the product infos about the stamps I used at MFTstamps.com)

Hope you enjoyed this.
Thank you
Marge Y.
