Pretty Pink Posh-Bear Hugs & other new release for July!

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today I'm sharing four cards featuring "Bear Hugs" Stamps sets and other products from Pretty Pink Posh.
All are included in July Release which will be available on July 10th!

For the first card, I stamped the images from Bear Hugs with versafine onyx black ink and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder.

I then watercolored them using distress ink Iced Spruce.
Background was colored using distress ink Shebby Shutter.
Once it was dry, I put sentiments & strings on it and foam mounted onto a kraft card base.

In this second card, I used Scallop Diamond Tags dies from July release.

This die set is so unique in shape, you can also make a small window with the die set.
Here, I colored Bear Hug images with copic markers and cut them using coordinating dies.

Look inside the cute little diamond window ! :)

In this 3rd card, I used both Bear Hugs and Fly a Kite stamps sets.
Coloring was done using copic markers.
Stitched frame was made using Stitched Notes dies.

The 4th card used  Bear Hugs and Smile Shaker Die with Sunny Days Sequins Mix for shaker elements.

I cut A2 sized panel and sponged it with distress inks : Squeezed lemonade, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. The I added some splatters of water.

I love how the sunny days mix sequins look well with background colors.

Thank you for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.
The whole July Release bundle is available at 15% discounted price.
Don't miss it !

(Click the image below to link to the challenge site.)

So here's my card.

I made a A2 size card base with kraft cardstock paper, then stamped images with memento black ink, them colored them with prismacolor polychromo pencils.
Sentiments were stamped with versafine ink.

The colors I used are : pc1086, 1040, 103, 1100 for flower, 1004, 1005, 1097 for leaves.

I made another card, and actually this was the first one, but I didn't like color schemes so I made the blue one shown above.

This was also colored with polychromo pencils.

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.
The stamps sets I used are "Garden Treasure" & "Smile More" from Altenew.

Altenew-Flower Challenge #10 - July

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today I'm sharing a card for entry into the current flower challenge #10, which opens monthly. And the theme for July challenge is "Embossing heat or dry".
Click the image below to link to the challenge post.

So I made a flower card using heat embossing.
The stamp I used here is "Enchanted Iris" from Altenew.

For the background, I cut a white card stock into 4x5.25 inch size, then blended it lightly using distress oxide Broken China, then added some splatters of water, distress spray (broken china), and heidi swapp gold spray, then let them dry.

I stamped the flowers and leaves on a watercolor paper, heat embossed them with gold embossing powder, colored them with zig clean real brush markers. Main colors I used are violet, bright yellow, Deep geeen and light green.

Then I cut them using coordinating dies and then glued them on the background panel, and rounded a string. I stamped sentiments and put some crystal sequins here and there.

Then I foam mounted the panel onto a navy card base made with navy card stock paper from altenew.

Thanks for reading this post.
I hope you enjoyed it.

Blessings.

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I'm sharing another shaker card made with Smile Shaker die and Mermaid Sequins Mix all from the new July release by Pretty Pink Posh.

The new releases will be available starting on July 10th !

The cute whale image is from 'Sea Friends' and the sentiment is from 'Summer Friends' which are also part of July Release.

I colored the shaker background with distress inks mermaid lagoon and the whale with copoc markers - B0000, B000, R20 .

The new Mermaid Sequins Mix is just so beautiful consisting of sparkling lemon & blue sequins and clear dew drops.
My favorite among the new sequins.

And I also love the adorable sea friends stamp set.
Can't wait to color them all and put them into cards :) ♡

CASology Week 256 - Pizza

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today, I'm sharing a CAS card to enter the CASology week 256, where the cue is PIZZA.
(Click the image below to link to the challenge blog)

This is my take on it.

I took out a A2 sized folded cardstock, blended some area with distress oxide inks, and the splattered with water.

I stamped a pizza image onto a copic friendly white paper, colored it with copic makrers, and then cut it out using a coordinating die.

I put the piece of pizza onto the cardbase, and stamped a sentiment.
To give a little bit more interesting look, I let the upper part of the sentiment go outside the border of colored space :)

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you have a good day!

Blessings
From Marge.

P.S.) Choosing right background paper for each card is always so hard to me.
I took 3 different background....which does look ok?

Pretty Pink Posh- New Release July 2017 (1)

Hello and Welcome!
Today I'm sharing two cards featuring new release products from pretty pink posh which will be released starting July 10th.
As always, there are so many cute, pretty and uniquely designed stamps, dies and sequins.

New release products always get out of stock very fast, so don't miss the release date and grab what you want! :)

So, here's the first card I made.

First, I distressed A2 sized white cardstock with distress oxide inks : fossilized amber, worn lipstick, cracked pistachio and broken china from bottom to top.
Then I added splatters of water, removed excess water with a dry towel and let it dry.
Then I cut the panel using Stitched Notes Dies.  For a soft look all over the panel, I white heat embossed the sentiment "Happy Summer".

I stamped "Summer Friends" and "Sea Friends" stamps sets on a copic friendly card stock, then colored them with copic markers, added some white dots with white gel pen.
I cut them out all using coordinating dies.

I took out a prescored A2 sized sided folded card base, put a soft colored stripe pattern paper, then foam mounted the distressed panel onto it.
Then I glued the stamped images on it, added sparkling clear sequins mix and Mermaid Sequins Mix here and there , then rounded a string around it and tied a bow.

I love how the fun colored images pop out the soft colored background.

***

For the second card, I used  Smile Shaker Die and new release sequins : Sunny Days Mix, 6mm Tutti Fruitti Mix , 4mm Tutti Fruitti Mix.

I first die cut Smile Shaker and sponged it with distress oxide inks, then added pearl using clear wink of stellar pen, and then added glossy accents on it to give it more dimensional look.

I also used "Friends Forever" sets for a boy and message.

Background panel of the shaker was also blended with distress oxide inks, and the rectangle frame is left over piece after die-cutting the panel of first card above.

Smile, You're my Favorite !

Thank you for reading this post.
Major supplies are shared through direct links in the text, but links for new products will be available on July 10th.

I hope you have a good day all!

Altenew- Color Throwdown Challenge 449 - CTD #449

Hello and Welcome!
Today I'm sharing a card for the current color throwdown challenge, CTD#449.
The Colors for this week are 'orange', 'green', and 'brown' shown in the image below.
(Click the image to link to the challenge blog)

And this is my take on it.
I used Altenew Products for this card.

For the background, I made A2 sized side folded card base with white cardstock and put a Halftone stencil on it then sponged with altenew crisp dye inks : Sand Dunes, Rocky Shore, and Mocha. I gave them gradient shade from bottom to top.

I stamped some flowers and leaves from 'Adore You' stamps set on a copic friendly white cardstock with memento black ink. I used copic markers YRs for flowers and altenew artist markers set A for leaves : G702, G715, and G554 .
For more interesting look I added some white dots over flowers using a white gel pen.

Then I fussy cut them out and placed onto the stenciled cardbase layer by layer.
Sentiment was stamped with versafine onyx black ink.
Final touch was putting some sparkling clear sequins from pretty pink posh.

That's it .

Pretty Pink Posh - Two cards with Woodland Critters Stamps and Scallop Tag Dies

Hello and Welcome !

Today I'm going to share with you two cards made with Pretty Pink Posh Products .
But first, I would like to tell you about my preference in card styles.
When I make cards other than vintage styles (oh, I actually love vintage the best!), I pursue cute, pretty, neat and bright ones.

For this, I enjoy using copic markers when coloring mostly than watercoloring.
I also love to give my cards some dimensions rather than just to make one layer cards.
So I love various cutting dies as well as stamps, and that's the reason why I fell in love with Pretty Pink Posh.

When I got to know Pretty Pink Posh, the first item that I was fascinated with was a scalloped tag die, which I hadn't seen such unique shape in other craft brands.

When I have no new idea on card designs, I just follow my own preference described above, even though I had already made similar styles before.
Afterall, cardmaking should be a pleasant hobby to relax, it shouldn't be stressful struggling with more creative designs or more techniques.
That's how it went in my today's cards.

So, here is the first one.

I stamped woodland critters stamps sets on a copic friendly white cardstock with memento black ink, and then colored them with copic markers and cut out them using coordinating dies.

Then I die cut a scallop circle tags dies and distress it with distress oxide inks : Spice marmalade, fossilized amber, and cracked pistachio . I added some splatters of water onto it, then made a hole using a punch.

I chose a thick brown cardbase and a sheet of diagonal striped pattern paper for background and some sentiments from 'thoughtful greetings' stamps set.

To give more dimensional look, I foam mounted the scallop circle tag diecut and white card stock.
Then I put the previousely cut images onto the scalloped circle tag, then sequins, and then natural twins finally.

For the second card, I used similar layout with the first card except using scallop square tag dies instead of circle tag dies.

I blended the tag die with distress oxide ink : worn lipstick, fossilized amber, and cracked pistachio.
To give some more natural look, I chose a natural card stock, a soft toned plaid paper and a white card base.

Sentiments were from 'Everyday Greetings' stamps set.
That's it .

These little critters are so cute, so coloring them always makes me feel pleasant.
I really enjoyed the whole process of making these.

Hope you'll like these cards too
Happy Weekend!

Altenew - A butterfly flying over flowers

Hello and Welcome !
Today I'm sharing a CAS card I made using two stamps sets from Altenew
I made this to enter 3 challenges which are CASology255 and CAS(E) this sketch#228, Timeout challenge #86.

Here are the images from the two challenges.
Click the image to link back to the challenges blogs.

The theme of CASology 255 is "Fly" and the sketch for CTS#228 is a stream going up from left bottom to right.
The theme of Timeoutchallenge #86 is 'one layer celebration card'.

So this is my take on the themes and sketch.

In this card, main theme is the butterfly flying over beautiful flowers.
I arranged the flower images and text accordimg to the suggested sketch by the current CASE this sketch.
I used 'wild hibiscus' and 'celebration' stamps sets from Altenew.

Thanks for reading this.
Happy Weekend!
