Hi, everyone!
I'm so honored and happy to join the Day 1 of Blog Hop for Simon Says Stamp Cheer & Joy Release.
All my cards for today are featuring the Gnome Wafer Dies from the Cheer & Joy Collection. I think this Gnome Wafer Dies set is very versatile with basic design and shapes, so you could use it for any specific holidays throughout the year. This time, I made a Halloween card and two Christmas cards.
< Card 1. Halloween Gnomes >
I started by die-cutting and assembling lots of Gnomes using colored card stocks. Nose and beard were colored with Copic Markers on white card stock. I used E13-E11-Y00-Y000 for the nose and W6-W4-W2-W0 for the beard. Aren't these gnomes so cute? I just couldn't stop making them, lols!
For my Halloween theme card, I ink blended violet & purple inks on a piece of violet-colored paper, then I splattered white acrylic ink over the panel. Then, I created a Halloween night scene with pumpkins, bats, and a spooky fence. I embellished my gnomes with small bats and mini stars and I love how they look so fun!
The little sentiment block is from the Fall Frenchies set which is part of the SSS STAMPtember 2019 release.
Who wouldn't love to go Trick or Treat with these lovely Gnomes!
< Card 2. Christmas Gnome >
This is sort of classical holiday design where red is the main color. I die-cut Gnome from Lipstick Red, added more shades with deep red inks, and assembled the pieces.
The background panel was ink blended with Star Light and Autumn Blaze. Then I foam mounted Holly Oval Frame on the panel, and then I put my Gnome in the frame. Tiny Christmas Words were heat embossed in white on Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and I glued the thin strip in arch-shape on the bottom of the frame.
I used white Pom Poms, metallic rose gold sequins, and 3mm clear sparkling sequins for embellishment.
I love how simple it is to design a classical holiday card using the Gnome Dies set.
< Card 3. Winter Gnome >
Here's today's last card where I made a blue Gnome using the SSS Island Blue paper.
To make a snowy and frosty background, I heat embossed snowflakes from Comfort And Joy set using Sparkling Snow and White Fine Detail powder on Bristol paper, then I ink-blended the upper part with blue inks.
I stamped the sentiment from the same comfort And Joy set and I also added Ivory Twine and a Big Bliss Snowflake which was colored with gold metallic ink.
That's from me for today. Thank you for visiting here. I've shown four Gnomes in three cards to you and I wonder how you would like to color yours :) I hope my cards gave you some new inspiration. You can also get more inspiration and share your creations with us at the Cheer and Joy Gallery
