World Card Making Day! at Simon Says Stamp Blog

Hello, there!
Today, I'm going to share a very exciting event at Simon Says Stamp Blog to celebrate the World Card Making Day!

Focusing on the "World", twenty cardmakers were invited, each being representative of her (or his) home country.
I'm so hornored to be invited as a representative of my country, South Korea.

Now, we were asked to make some holiday cards, and here goes mine.

I wanted to make a peaceful night scene on Christmas Eve as well as a fun shaker card!
Once you have a card design in your mind, the making process is very simple.

1. Prepare A2 size panel from a piece of watercolor paper, then blend it using distess inks, Black Soot, and Hickory Smoke , then splatter with diluted Gesso on it using a brush.

2. Stamp images on a copic friendly white cardstock paper, color them using copic markers and cut them with matching dies.
I used Angel Friends Stamp Set with Angel Friends dies setHoliday Pals Stamp Set with matching dies, Happy Snowman Stamp set with matching die. Snowman's hat is from Raindeer Friends Stamp Set & matching dies set

3.  Make a house from Stitched Duo 3 dies and Stitched Borders 1 die, then make a shaker element.
Background of shaker was made using distress inks, Squeezed Lemonade, and Scattered Straw.
Sequins are Metallic Gold ConfettiMetallic Silver Confetti, and Marshmallow Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

4. Make a snowy hill using Drifting Stitches Borders die from Simon Says Stamp Exclusive.

5. Layer each elment one by one using foam tapes, then adhere the panel onto a card base.

Thank you for reading this post.
All the supplies I used are linked in the text.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Please come to the Simon Says Stamp Blog and join the World Card Making Day party :)
There's a fun challenge where you make holiday cards, and have a chance to win $50 gift coupon. Ten lucky persons will be chosen randomly.
Happy World Card Making Day!♡

Marge.
