Watercolor stencil using metalic shimmer sprays and watercoloring using pigment dye inks from Altenew

Hello and welcome!
I made another card to enter into the current July Inspiration Challenge at Altenew Blog.
Click the inspiration photo below .

In today's card I used two somewhat new coloring methods to me which are watercolor stenciling using altenew metalic spray and watercoloring using altenew pigment dye inks.

So here's my card.

First, I prepared watetcolor paper into A2 size, then put Sketched Lines stencil onto it and then brushed using metalic shimmer ink sprays- Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades.

I thought brushing ink sprays instead of just spraying is a good way to minimalize bleeding and make clear stencil.

Second, I stamped Garden Treasure floral images with versafine black ink , then watercolored them using Altenew pigment dye inks. I mainly used Ruby Red and Velvet. To color leaves, I used metalic ink sprays that were left on my watercolor palette from previous stenciling.
Then I fussy cut all the images.

Third, I stamped sentiment from "Smile More" set and then rounded natural string around the lower part of the panel, then foam mounted the panel onto a brown card base.
Then I put floral images onto the panel using foam tapes and glue.
Finally I applied clear wink of stella to the flowers (because green stenciled background and leaves had shimmer due to metalic shimmer sprays, I wanted the same shimmering effect in the red flowers), then I put some sparkling clear sequins.

That's it for today.
Using somewhat different coloring medium was so fun and exciting. I also love the results.

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.

The Ton July Challenge - Mood Board

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today I'm sharing a card to submit to The Ton July Challenge.
This month's theme is to get inspiration from a mood board shown below.
(Click the image to link to the challenge)

So, here is my take on the theme.
Since I was so moved by the inspiration mood board, I decided to make my own mood board in this card.

Among lots of inspiration I get from the mood board, I chose several objets which are girlish, balloons, heart, flowers, shoes, stacks, and pink.

I stamped each image on a copic friendly card stock, color them using copic markers, cut squares or rectangles around the images.

I then prepared A2 sized panel, distressed it with distress inks, added splatters of water, then I foam mounted pieces onto the panel and then foam mounted again onto a white card base.
Final touch was putting some sparkling sequins.

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.

CASology#258 & AAA#95 - Diamond & Rainbow

Hello !
Today I'm sharing a CAS card themed with Diamond and Rainbow.

I first stamped solid images from Gemstone Waffle Flower using pigment dye inks, then cut them all.
I used rainbow colors and gave each image a little bit of color gradation.

Then I cut a 4×5.5 inch white panel, placed diamond cuts on it, and then stamped a sentiment.
Then I put the panel on a A2 sized card base with black and white stripe pattern paper strip placed on the left.

I really enjoyed making this card cause I love the delightful rainbow colors and simplicity of black sentiment on a white background.

Hope you enjoyed this too.
Thanks for reading .
I'm entering this card into two CAS challenges below!

Altenew July 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today, I'm sharing a card that I made for Altenew's July Inspiration Challenge.
Here is the inspiration photo you can see below.
(Click the image to link to the challenge site)

I was inspired by the colors used in the photo which are green, deep red and pale red. This photo also reminded me of pure nature, so I tried to express those inspirations in my card.
So here goes my card.

I first stamped Adore You on a copic friendly white cardstock, and colored them with Artist Markers Set A.
For flowers : R302, R304, R318, R335
For leaves : G702, G715, G554
Then I fussy cut the images and added some glaze using white gel pen.

To make tags, I die-cut a couple of tags from white card stock.
I sponged one tag using altenew inks Frosty Pink and Coral Berry, then I stamped dots pattern from Handmade Tags Stamps set using Coral Berry Ink. Then I choose stripe pattern stamped it on another white tag using Frayed leaf and Forest Glades. I then stamped sentiments from the same stamps sets.

I cut A2 sized panel from Woodgrain white card stock, rounded string around it and tied it to the tags I made. Then I foam mounted the panel onto a A2 sized folded deep brown card base.
I arranged flowers and leaves on the upper part of the panel, then I finished off with some sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Then I cut the images using coordinating dies.

Scallop circle was cut to be used as a shaker frame, and was distressed using distress inks : twisted citron, mowed lawn

One layer card with Pencil coloring on a grey card base

Hello and welcome!
Today, I'm sharing another card for the current less is more #336/337 challenge and AAA Cards challenge#94 where they share the same theme "Colored Cardbase".

These days, I've been inspired of pencil coloring on a colored card stock from many talented cardmakers, finally I fell in love with what TaeEun Yoo and Debby Hughes made at first sight.
As a result, I almost CASEd Debby's card which was posted on Simon Says Stamp Blog just today.
So here goes mine.

I chose gray colored card base, then I stamped "Bouquet of Thanks" with a gray colored hybrid ink, and colored it with prismacolor pencils.
I tried to follow Debby's Youtube video tutorial, but the video played so fast, so I couldn't catch up with her exactly. So I just colored as my heart led.

After finishing coloring, I added some highlight with a gel pen, then I stamped a sentiment chosen from Thoughtful Messages from Simon Says Stamp with Versafine ink.
I added some sequins (crystal clear sequins from Studio Katia) and finished off my card.

Here is a closer look at the flowers.

There were some technical errors in making this card, major error was stain from oily materials that were left in my fingers and palm. So I had to trim a little the bottom part of the card.
I'm satisfied with the final result though.
Debby's tutorial let me understand more about the essentials of pencil coloring. Thank you so much for the great inspiration!

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.

< Supplies I used>

Pencil colors : Prismacolor PC 1086, 919, 1040, 1022, 1101 (Blue), 935(black), 938 (white),  1090,1096,1089 (green)

Stamps : Bouquet of Thanks, Thoughtful Messages from Simon Says Stamp

Pretty Pink Posh- Box Pop-up Card

Hello and welcome!
I'm sharing a box pop up card made with new release stamps from Pretty Pink Posh.
Once you know how to score and trim papers for box card, the rest are very easy.
For rapid coloring, I water-colored most of images, and I also used some left-over pieces from previous card-making.

I first stamped images from Summer Friends, Sea Friends, Fly a kite stamps sets on a watercolor paper with versafine inks. Then I colored them using watercolor paints and fussy cut them all.

For box card, I scored a piece of white card stock paper using a score board, then trimmed it into a certain size I want to make.
Here, the size of front rectangle is 3.25x2.25 inch, and both sides' rectangles are 2.25x2.25 inch.
For three wings in the upper part of the box, I made 2 inches high for each.
I also made two inside panels with size of 3.25 (plus 0.75 inch wide wings at both sides) x2.25inch, and blended them with distress inks : salty ocean, mermaid lagoon, and faded jeans.

I cut out a smaller rectangle from a front panel, and adhered an acetate film to the frame to make a clear window, then stamped a sentiment with stazon ink.

After assembling a box card, I adhered colored images to the box.
I used some blue patterned papers for matting of each surface of the box.

That's it.
I hope you enjoyed it.

Major supplies are linked in the text just for your information.
Thank you and my heartfelt blessings.

CAS (E) This Sketch 230- Vintage flower card

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today, I'm sharing a card for the current CTS#230.
This week's sketch is shown below. (Click the image)

So this is my take on the sketch.

For this card, I used "pretty poppies" stamps set from My Favorite Things.
I firtst cut a 3.75×5 inch panel from a white cardstock, then distressed it with disress oxide ink Antique Linen, and added splatters of water.

(I took this photo during stamping)

I then stamped solid poppy images using multi color stamping with MFT's pigment dye inks and texts with hybrid intense black ink. Then I added some splatter of distress spray (wild honey).

Then I cut the panel into the 3 pieces according to the sketch, and foam mounted each piece onto a A2 card base. I finished off with some sequins on it.

Thanks for reading this post.
Hope you enjoyed it.
Blessings!
